Favourite Jarvis Moments 1.Avengers #280: Jarvis, hospitalised after his beating at the hands of the Masters of Evil, blind in one eye and lame in one leg, reviews the history of the Avengers from a butler's perspective. His affection for the members is so apparent. Jarvis was the first to befriend the Vision. Jarvis was the first to notice the attraction between the Vision and Wanda. Jarvis was the only staff member who didn't quit when the Hulk came to the Stark mansion house - and dinner was excellent. My absolute favourite bit: Jarv decides to return to work: "Things can't really go on without me, now can they?". The Avengers need him. 2. Avengers #201: Jarvis solo story! Jarvis reveals his RAF war experience, his golden gloves boxing award, and his affection for his mother. As he says on the cover, "Stay back Avengers - this is where Jarvis TAKES OVER!" 3. Iron Man #128: Jarvis and Bethany Cabe (who, in her original incarnation was one of the best supporting characters in comics) are there for Tony Stark during his first and best alcohol storyline. 4. Can't remember the reference, possibly in Power Pack: Unca Jarvis is there for Franklin Richards while his parents are off fighting evil etc. Jarvis recognises the power of the cookie jar. 5. Avengers #299: Effectively a solo story, Jarv vs the Inferno. Is he still dating Glory Garsen? (She did show up with him at Sersi's party in #325). 6. Avengers vol 3 #4: Whilst the other Avengers turn their nose up at malodorous and unpopular ol' D-Man, Jarvis gets him a shower and some big bags of food to feed the people of Zero Town. Jarvis understands. 7. My all time favourite from Avengers #216: Jarvis talks Cap out of his funk after the expelling of Hank Pym. Who else in the entire Marvel Universe can sit down with Captain America and set him right about the American Dream? Yay, Jarvis. Have I missed any really good bits off the list?
