A BIG thank you again to Ian! As with anything about my muse, it has inspired me to pen a quick short story to show what they are doing...
Night.
Within the candle lit home of the Forsight children voices could be heard.
Roland looked into a mirror but no reflection showed. He was adjusting his black bow tie. Dressed in a little black tux he looked distinguished.
SLUUURP!
He turned around to see his sister Annabelle gently draining a dead rat. She was dressed in her black and purple gown with her black choker to hide the marks on her neck. She was being careful not to spill a drop of blood on her dress. “I thought I would have a quick bite before we left. You do realize that mirror is only for decoration, don’t you? I mean you cannot even see yourself in it!”
Roland explained as he turned around. “I know, I know, but I couldn’t resist the joke. So are you sure you want to go tonight?”
“Brother you won’t be getting out of this THAT easy! Thomas has classes tonight and I already have the opera tickets! We’re going.”
Roland approached her and said with an increasingly large smile, “But Anna! We could hunt, chase! We could even tease some of the more rotten mortals! Like that one who was trying to mug that mortal lady! I scared him so bad!”
She moved her arm up to wave him off, “Go on! You won’t tempt me this night! I’ve been waiting to see Phantom all year!”
She wiped the blood trickle off her chin and stuck it in her innocent mouth. “By the way, how come your hair is black?”
He moved away as she messed up his new raven locks a bit, “Different from the usual red, huh? You like?”
“I prefer you to have your usual red color but if you want to use our shape shifting gifts like that, so be it. Let’s be off!”
They turned into bats and flew into the night to partake of musical entertainment.
